Ana Alcobia, vice-president of Time Out Market Iberia, highlighted the importance of Time Out Market's national identity, emphasizing that “this idea, more than being innovative, is a national idea”.
He also explained, during the conference “Chefs, Economy and Sustainability – A Global Dialogue at the Table”, held this Monday, at the Soares dos Reis Museum, in Porto, that the project was born from the need for economic sustainability, after Time Out, initially a lifestyle magazine, had to reinvent itself.
Ana Alcobia spoke about the transformation of the Mercado da Ribeira, which had been abandoned before Time Out’s intervention. “Today, the traditional market is still standing, with increasingly better quality,” she said, highlighting the renovation of the space.
